Wave to continue in the face of adversity

There has been loads going on since last Saturday when the news of Popkomm being cancelled was released.
Rest assured TGAW will continue!!!
In fact we are now holding showcases in 3 major cities which will give the artists involved a better chance of reaching Industry contacts in that area without the competition that Popkomm inevitably has. These cities will be released in the next few days.  Despite Arts Victoria pulling the funding granted to the showcase we are determined to make this happen and work for all artists involved.  Lets hope that Arts Victoria and The Minister Lynne Kosky will see the value in all that is being done Indpendantly for these artists.
I would like to thank all the artists involved for their continued support and passion for their careers.   Lets make this a huge succes.

The Great Australian Wave Popkomm 2009

Artist selection is now completed and details are up on the Great Australian Wave website.  Names will be released in 2 stages.  First list is up so check out these fantastic bands.

Congratulations

Amanda Medica who has won the JMag competition to be on the The Great Australian Wave Showcase in Berlin this year.  Check out her MySpace
